App Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how BoostGEO (“BoostGEO,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operated by Lantora, LLC, collects, uses, and protects information when merchants install and use the BoostGEO — AI Product Visibility application available through the Shopify App Store (the “App”).

This policy covers the App only. The BoostGEO marketing website at www.boostgeo.com has a separate website Privacy Policy.

Information we collect

• Shop and account data from Shopify when you install the App (store domain, access tokens, and data needed to authenticate API requests).
• Catalog data you choose to scan (products, variants, media, and related metadata).
• Usage data such as scan activity, scoring profile selections, and suggestion actions, used to operate and improve the App.

How we use information

• Provide catalog readiness scoring, issue detection, and optional AI-generated suggestions.
• Operate, secure, and troubleshoot the App.
• Generate aggregated analytics about App usage (not for selling personal data).

AI processing

When enabled, product content may be sent to configured AI providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google) solely to generate suggestions or summaries you request. Do not enable AI features if your policies prohibit this processing. Suggested changes are reviewable and are not written back to your store until you approve them.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers who help us run the App—for example hosting, databases, and AI providers when you request AI features. Those providers may process information only to perform services for us.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect BoostGEO or others, or in connection with a business transfer involving BoostGEO assets.

Data retention

We retain store data while the App is installed and for a reasonable period afterward to support uninstall cleanup, legal obligations, and backups. You may request deletion by uninstalling the App and contacting us.

Your choices

You can uninstall the App from Shopify Admin at any time. Uninstall stops new data collection through the App. You can choose not to use optional AI suggestion features. Contact us to request deletion of retained App data where applicable.

Children

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

International merchants

If you use the App from outside the United States, you understand that information may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our providers operate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
